How to Customize the look of your Mac OS Dock on Leopard and Snow Leopard

You will need to download the Leopard Docks App for free at http://leoparddocks.com/index.php

Step 1-Go to http://leoparddocks.com/index.php and search and download the dock theme you want to use. I have selected Glossy Black Dock to use.

Step 2-Open the Leopard Docks App.

Step 3-Select Browse….and search for your downloaded dock theme. It should be in the Downloads section of your mac.

Step 4-Next click the Change My Dock button

Step 5-A box will pop up asking you for your password before making any changes.

Step 6-Your Dock will respring and the new dock will be displayed

Step 7- Exit the App and you have successfully changed your dock!!

How to create FREE Ringtones using Mac OS’ GarageBand

This is the simple guide for all mac users to make free ringtones for their iPhones….FREE!!
Step 1-Open GarageBand in your Applications window…

Step 2-Open a separate finder window and browse to the song you would like to convert into a ringtone.

Step 3-Selected your wanted song and drag it into the gray open space in GarageBand.

Step 4-Go to the toolbar and select Share->Send Ringtone to iTunes.

Step 5-A window will pop-up that looks like this…

Click “Adjust”…..

Step 6-Notice the Yellow Bar that will appear above the song in GarageBand…we are going to adjust this to where we want the ringtone to start and end….

Step 7-You can click and drag the yellow bar anywhere you want in the song. Then you can click and drag both ends of the yellow bar to extend the Start and End point of the ringtone you are creating.

Step 8-Once you have selected the correct duration of your ringtone, go back to the Share menu up top and select Send Ringtone to iTunes again.

Step 9-Open iTunes and click on the “Ringtones” tap on the left. You will see your newly created ringtone there…

Step 10-Plug in your iPhone and Sync your new ringtone and that is it!!!

How to change the Lockscreen Wallpaper on the iPhone

Step 1- Click the Settings icon on your iPhone

Step 2- Click the icon that says “Wallpaper”

Step 3- You can now choose either your Wallpaper folder or your Camera Roll to choose a picture for your wallpaper. I will be using the Wallpaper folder for this example.

Step 4- Choose the picture you would like to use.

Step 5- After you have selected a picture, you will be able to move it into the desired position. When you are finished hit the “Set” button.

That’s it! You have now set your lockscreen wallpaper!

How to Add an Email Account to your iPhone

Step 1- Click the Settings icon on your iPhone

Step 2- Click the icon that says “Mail, Contacts, Calendar

Step 3- Click the first button of the menu that says “Add Account…”

Step 4- Then choose the account type you wish to add, or click other if you do not see your listed. I will be using Yahoo.com for this guide

Step 5- Type your name, Email address, and Password. If you want the Account to be displayed as anything other than the email address then type it in the field that says “Description”

Step 6- Click Save when you are finished in the upper right.

Step 7- A message will appear up top that says “Verifying account information…”

Step 8- When the account has been verified you will see the message appear “Yahoo! account verified”

You will be automatically taken to your new mailbox and all messages will be downloaded. You are now free to add another account using the same steps or start browsing your emails.

How to Add a Contact to your iPhone

Step 1- Click the Contacts icon on your iPhone

Step 2- Click the icon in the top right corner that looks like a plus sign

Step 3- Click the button that says “First Last” to add a name for the contact

Step 4- When you finish typing the contact name press “Save” in the upper right

Step 5- Then click the “add new phone” button to add a phone number.

Step 6- When you finish typing in the phone number press “Save” in the upper right.

Step 7- You can follow the same procedures for adding an email address, address, ringtone, etc.

Step 8- When you have finished adding all the information you want to add for the contact press “Done” in the upper right

You are now finished adding a contact to your phonebook. The finished contact will look something like this.
