For those of you living in countries lucky enough to already own a brand new iPad such as Canada or the United States this news item won’t appeal to you as much but if you live in a country that doesn’t have access to the new iPad yet then April 20 will be your new Christmas, as the new iPad will be released in 12 more countries on that date.
The 12 new countries that will be gaining access to the new iPad are, in alphabetical order: Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Panama, South Korea, St Maarten, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Apple’s not stopping there though as another nine countries will also be getting their own new iPad launch release date just a week later on April 27 and those nine countries are, once again, in alphabetical order: Colombia, Estonia, India, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa and Thailand.
The new iPad has slowly been taking over the world with release dates starting in the United States, as well as nine other countries, on March 16 and then the new iPad was launched in 25 more countries on March 23. If no more launch dates are announced between now and April 27 that will bring the total number of countries with the ability to purchase a new iPad to 56! That’s a pretty good number, considering how the new iPad was only released late last month.
Based on release dates for the iPad 2 the new iPad’s on a quicker release pace this year than last and it looks like Apple has gotten a hold of how to handle the supply demands for their most wanted products, as we all remember reading horror stories of limited iPad 2 supply last year.
