Tweetbot Application Review

Written by iHospital. Posted in iHospital iV

TweetbotiPhone and iPad Application: Tweetbot – $2.99; non-universal app! – Score: 4 IV’s

If you consider yourself a Twitter addict and are constantly on your iPhone or iPad checking your Twitter feed, even if your girlfriend is glaring at you in the hopes that you’ll give her more attention than you do your Apple device then you probably have a problem. However, we don’t really have a solution on how to fix such a problem but we do have an app recommendation that will only further your Twitter addiction and probably send you into Twitter rehab.

We bet you want to know more, right? Of course you do so let us tell you about the latest Twitter app that has taken control of most Apple devices and replaced the official Twitter client app as the go to Twitter client app of choice: Tweetbot.  Have the new iPad? Tweebot is one of the 13 beautiful apps for your new iPad retina display – Lucky you!

What is Tweetbot?

Tweetbot’s the name of the app and revolutionizing the way you view your Twitter timeline and interact with other Twitter users is the name of their game. If you want more detail the website from the developers of Tweetbot, Tapbots, can hook you up with that, as they describe Tweetbot as:

“A full-featured Twitter client with a lot of personality. Whether it’s the meticulously-crafted interface, sounds & animation, or features like multiple timelines & smart gestures, there’s a lot to love about Tweetbot.

Why do I love Tweetbot?

The thing that I love the most about Tweetbot is its clean and polished interface. You really don’t need a lot of bells and whistles when it comes to Twitter and the makers of Tweetbot knew that, which is why everything is kept to a minimum. But just because Tweetbot isn’t about being the biggest and baddest Twitter client app on the market doesn’t mean it lacks in the good looks department either. Not.Even.Close. Think of Tweetbot as the nerdy girl with glasses in romantic Freddie Prinze Jr. comedies that turns out to be a bombshell once they’ve taken off the overalls, glasses and pigtails and have been given a makeover that has them in high heels and a sexy skirt! Tweetbot is both the sexy girl next door and the comely nerdy girl you call your best friend!

Sleek, sexy and simple interface is one thing but what about the features that matter to those who can’t pry their fingers off their Apple devices because they need to see what @Sportsguy33 tweeted about last night’s Celtics game or who @kimkardashian is in a Twitter beef with now?

Good question and we got the answers. Would you like to be able to view multiple timelines and accounts? Tweetbot can do that for you. How about saving articles into one of your read it later accounts or apps such as Readability? Yup, Tweetbot’s got you covered there too. Do you want a customizable Twitter client app that lets you hide certain navigation tabs you have no use for? Tweetbot can do that for you as well!

Those features plus the ability to save drafts, attach photos and videos, manage lists and add locations make Tweetbot the best and most gorgeous looking Twitter client app on the market; no questions asked!

What don’t I like about Tweetbot?

The only drawback to Tweetbot is that it’s not a universal iPhone and iPad app, meaning that if you have an iPhone and an iPad and want Tweetbot on both Apple devices you’re going to have to pony up the $2.99 App Store price twice to get Tweetbot on both devices. If you think paying nearly $6 just to use Twitter is crazy then I need some IV drained into my fluids because I have gladly done such a thing but I can see the hesitation by most people as there are other free Twitter client apps that are worth using such as HootSuite and the official Twitter client app but Tweetbot does what they do and so much better!

When the only drawback isn’t much of a drawback then you know iHospital can’t recommend the app in question high enough! So what are you waiting for? Go to the App Store, purchase Tweetbot and start tweeting at us why you love Tweetbot so much and to set up your next repair appointment at @iHospital. You can even come down to one our iHospital locations and we’ll give you a one-on-one Tweetbot tutorial to show you how to work all the Tweetbot features to your advantage.
