flick kick football review free app of the weekiPhone and iPad Application – Flick Kick Football – FREE – 4 IV’s

What is Flick Kick Football?

Flick Kick Football  is a sports game application designed for both the iPad and the iPhone created by Developer PikPok Games.   It also happens to be this week’s “App Store Free App of the Week”.  This is a perfect app to download as the Olympic Summer Games are just around the corner!  Check out our previous post, 5 Best Apps for the 2012 London Olympics, for more cool apps related to the games.

What did you like about Flick Kick Football?

The number one reason I love this app is because of the flick control.  The beginning moves are very easy to learn but as you progress, it takes a little more practice and control to learn some of the curved shots.  This is a plus in my books as I like a challenge when it comes to sports applications.

The game is based on placing the ball at varying distances from the goal post, with various configurations of goaltenders.  As the name of the application states, you flick the ball to try and get a goal.  The longer the flick up the screen, the higher the ball travels.  It sounds basic but don’t let that fool you.  There’s the ability to gain bonuses when you aim for the corners of the goal.  You can also build up two to three additional lives and play a Time
Attack mode.  This app will definitely keep you busy for hours on end.

Here are some of the main features:

  • Online Multiplayer and Classic pass & play
  • Practice Mode, to get your game up to par
  • Bullseye Mode
  • Arcade Mode, to show what you can do when it really counts
  • Time Attack for those that like to race the clock, or with limited time

What didn’t you like about Flick Kick Football?

There’s not much to dislike about this application. It’s a simple football application that is easy to learn.  Some may say the curved shots are hard to learn but as I stated before, I think challenge is good.

Where can we get it?

Download this application for free this week in the App Store.
