Should You Get Your Broken iPhone Screen Repaired?

Written by iHospital. Posted in iHospital iV

broken iphone screen This is one of the biggest nightmares of all Apple enthusiasts. Something causes you to lose your grip on your beloved iPhone.  As you watch in horror, it appears to drop in slow motion to the ground.  You hope and pray it’s unscathed but low and behold, your iPhone’s screen is shattered.  This is one of the first questions that comes to mind: Should you spend the money to repair your broken iPhone screen, or should you just look past the shattered glass until you are eligible for an upgrade?

Here’s why you should replace the screen on your iPhone

1.  Not repairing your broken iPhone screen will greatly affect your resale value: Also, the resale value of your iPhone might offset the cost of repairing the damaged screen.  The difference in resale price on Gazelle and eBay between a cracked iPhone and an iPhone in good shape with just a couple scratches is between $50-$150.

How To Fix A Slow Mac

Written by iHospital. Posted in How To

How to fix a slow MacThis post is all about how to fix your slow Mac with Activity Monitor, a free app that is built right into Lion.  Your crawling Mac might be slowing down because of one particular misbehaving application, and Activity Monitor will identify and terminate the problem.

Here’s how to fix a slow Mac using Activity Monitor

1.  Go to the Applications Folder and open the Utilities folder.  Don’t forget you can type the letter “U” for Utilities while in the Applications window to jump right to the desired folder.

2. Inside the Utilities folder, you’ll find Activity Monitor.  Launch it by double-clicking as you would to launch any other program.

3.  The Activity Monitor shows all of the current processes and applications running on your Mac.  Here’s where you want to search for the pesky application that is dominating your Mac’s processors.  Sort Activity Monitor by the %CPU column by clicking on it twice to ensure the processes that are taking up the most space are showing at the top.
